Are you falling short of your goals regardless of your efforts?

Are you always falling short of your goals in some area of your life? Not completing that project, falling short in your career goals, relationships, wealth or health goals?


Does not matter how much conscious effort you make, how many 'to do' lists you create and intentions you lay? You push yourself each day, try hard diligently but the results are no where near what your heart desires?


There is a powerful part of your mind that is in play each day without you even being aware. The part of your mind is more powerful in limiting or attaining wherever your conscious mind sets out to do. This is your subconscious mind. The subconscious mind is a mind of habits and beliefs. It is like a program that runs you without your thinking, almost like a computer program. This program is a set of beliefs and habits that you have installed by observing your parents, siblings and through experiences you have had at a very young age. Science tells us that we create our subconscious set of beliefs and habits by age 7 and use this most of our lives, sometimes without even realizing it! So if you are treated badly by rich friends or cousins as a child and you do not want to be like them, you may form a belief that having a lot of money is not a good thing. Or if someone tells you as a child that you are not pretty, you may have a self conscious demeanor and lose confidence on camera, for example, when you are older. These beliefs may limit your success when you set out to make more money, or become an online video educator because your conscious intentions are not aligned with your subconscious beliefs. Will power alone is often not enough to break through your subconscious beliefs.


5 Ways to Eliminate Limiting Beliefs that hold you back from smashing your goals


So what can we do about eliminating these subconscious beliefs so that we can achieve the life we want easily?


1. Become Aware of your Limiting Beliefs

First step is to become aware of your limiting beliefs. You can do this by thinking about the area of your life where you are falling short of reaching your goals. What are some thoughts that come up and what is your internal dialogue around this goal?


As you work on these projects or reflect on this, start noting down the internal dialogue and thoughts that come up. Write them all down. These could be positive or negative. Review this list at the end of your day and you will find some limiting beliefs that pop up repeatedly which is counteracting your efforts to achieve your goals!



2. Consciously Overwrite your Limiting Beliefs

Write down a positive and empowering truth, that you can use to overwrite each one of your limiting beliefs. Each time you become aware of a limiting thought or belief starting to come up in your internal chatter, shoot it down with your positive and empowering truth. Becoming conscious of your limiting beliefs and consciously overwriting them moves y your energy up and aligns you with easily smashing your goals!



3. Question your Limiting Beliefs

Limiting beliefs generally have references that uphold them. Start by questioning your limiting beliefs and then eliminating these references that uphold the belief, while consciously creating new references or new empowering beliefs.


For example - if you have a limiting belief that you are not pretty enough- ask yourself if it is true? Also ask yourself why you think this to be true (what are the experiences that uphold that belief). Generally, your conscious response will doubt the subconscious limiting belief. Then you can look at the references that are holding these up - are they valid? Going back to the example, the experience or reference holding up the limiting belief - Maybe when you were 4 someone praised your sister on how beautiful she was and ignored you, which led you to believe that you were not pretty enough. When you question this reference that is holding up your limiting belief, you really start to see how untrue this may be! So when we doubt the references or experiences that are holding up our limiting beliefs, they start to fall away. Now look at the opposite. Has anyone ever told you that you were beautiful? Of course you would have been told by someone - your hubby, your children, maybe the lady who did your hair, when you dressed up for a wedding etc. Now you can overwrite the old limiting belief and really tell yourself that you are beautiful in your own amazing way!


4. Practice Tapping to Rewrite your Subconscious Beliefs

Practice tapping - EFT . This is a powerful process that can help to eliminate subconscious limiting beliefs and install new empowering beliefs. Emotional Freedom Technique or (EFT) also known as tapping is an easy and powerful process which has been shown to access the subconscious level of mind where we can then let go of negative disempowering beliefs and replace them with empowering beliefs that align with our goals.


5. Meditation and Creative visualization

When you calm your body down in mediation, there is a change in your brain wave patterns. The brain waves slow down from beta (highly active) to alpha and then to theta which is a very slow brain wave pattern, close to sleep. In the alpha and theta states you can access your subconscious mind and using creative visualization, install a subconscious map or belief of the new reality that you want to experience. While in a relaxed meditative state, switch current reality in your visualization out with your desired reality and feel it as if it is happening now.


The same slowing down of your brain waves happens as you let go of thoughts, and settle down to sleep. Your brain moves through beta, alpha, theta and finally to delta. Just before you move to delta and fall asleep, practice your creative visualization. See in colour the reality that you want to experience. Maybe your desired reality is that you are in the best shape, looking younger, are in a loving relationship, you are in the home of your dreams or in the best or health and free. Whatever it is, create a vision of your future reality in high definition and colour and be in this vision as if you are experiencing it in first person. See your hands are on the steering wheel of your new car, or you are walking through your dream home, for example.


This process will install new circuitry in your subconscious which is like installing a program that will open you up to new possibilities, lead you to the dictions and choices in your life which will propel you to your desired reality.


Consistent repetition and laser like focus is essential to install this new way of thinking and being. The mind does not know the difference between what it experiences thought thought or what it experiences in real life!


So these are some ways you can get out of your own way, evolve, start to really become the person you want to be and smash your goals!
