Mini 3 Tier Cake - Eggless Chocolate Cake with Buttercream icing

This gorgeous Garden Cake is a fun design and very easy to do. it is eggless and perfect for vegetarians. I created this cake out of just 1 batch of cake batter (only 2cups of flour). The cake tins were 20cm, 15cm and 10cm round. Being a small cake, no center support or cake boards were necessary between layers. I could simply stack them on each other and ice them with buttercream.
I piped the bright buttercream flowers. There are numerous tutorials on U-Tube on how to and they are easy to do. I also used some fresh flowers and leaves. These are lemon leaves and the yellow flowers are taken from flowering cabbages in my vegie patch. Natural flowers and sprigs give the cake a very real look and I love it! The soil was made by passing some cake crumbs through a perforated spoon straight onto the cake.
In contrast to my other cakes, this is the smallest 3 Tier cake I have ever crested And loved doing so. As it is small and requires only buttercream, it can be baked and decorated on the same day. It will serve at least 10 people.
