A Twist on the French Toast
The classic french toast is a slice of bread, which has been dipped in beaten egg and fried. My daughter came up with her own version of the french toast. She absolutely enjoys making this for breakfast. An easy way to impress your mum!
Ingredients:
1 slice of white or wholemeal bread
A cookie-cutter of your desired shape
1 egg, beaten and seasoned with salt and pepper
Method:
Using the cookie cutter, cut out the centre of the bread.
Heat a frying pan and lightly grease with cooking spray.
Butter the toast on both sides and place it flat, in the frying pan.
Pour the beaten egg into the centre and let it cook until the egg is cooked and holds its shape.
Using a flat spatula, carefully flip the bread and toast the other side.
Serve hot and enjoy!
